We went to my grandparents in California. We stayed at the March Air Force Base. Grandpa had to get us on base.

On Saturday we went to Uncle Dave and Aunt Debbie's house and helped him clean out his garage. That was the purpose of this trip. We needed to go through all the stuff that grandpa put in Dave's garage when they moved out of their house years ago. We were getting some of it and my dad needed to decide what he wanted or didn't want. Well that was boring so me, mom, Evan and Hailey went SHOPPING. That's what I call a vacation. We didn't stay too long because Evan thought he was going to die because he hadn't eaten in a couple of hours. Then we went back to Uncle Dave's house and helped them finish the garage. They made us a delicious dinner and then we went back to the base.


Sunday we went to lunch at Sizzler. My favorite place. We couldn't eat at the grandma and grandpas retirement home, because we didn't bring our Sunday clothes. Later Aunt Caroline and her husband (Bill) and Kathy came and we went outside on the patio of the retirement home for a concert put on by the marine band. They served a nice picnic dinner with all the trimmings. It was nice, but we froze to death.

On Monday as we were leaving grandma and grandpa house we ran into the Rolling Thunder Motorcyles. Since it was Memorial Day they were all headed to the National Cemetary by grandma and grandpa house. We couldn't get on to the freeway so we followed them until they ended and then we had to back track. Put us a little behind schedule.



After the Rolling Thunder episode, we went and picked up the stuff in Uncle Daves garage that we inherited from grandpa, then we were on the way to the beach. We were meeting Andrew's friend at the beach. We had a great day, the weather was perfect. Nobody got their bathing suit on, it wasn't that warm. Then from the beach we went home because the next day the kids had school for only 2 1/2 more days.
