The Saturday after christmas we went to Death Valley National Park . We decided to go now instead of the dead of summer when it is 135 degrees. We got DVD players for the car for christmas. So we went on the trip to try out the DVD player to see how well they worked. They worked great. We went to some look out points and we brought lunch to eat, but we had to eat in the car because there was no where to eat outside. We went to the lowest place in the United States. It is called Badwater Basin and it was 285 ft. below sea level. The weather was great. Not too hot and not too cold. We didn't even begin to see all there is to see.

This roadrunner loved the attention because he let a bunch of people take his picture for about 10 minutes.
