Award

Bob was recently informed that he had been picked as the winner of an award given out by the Epsilon Pi Tau organization that he belongs to.  It is the association that technology teachers from around the country belong to.  He has been a member since he was a professor at Universisty of Central Missouri.  He submitted the STEM project that he has been working on for years.  They give out an award at their conference every year.  He was fortunate to be picked for this year. The only problem was that we had to get to Minneapolis to accept it. With the help of family and his work we were able to swing it and able to accept the award. The $500.00 award helped a little too. We threw caution to the wind and put Evan in charge of the two younger kids and got away for a few days.  Minneapolis in March is not my first choice of places to go.  It was freezing there, but we had fun. Not the best picture. We had to be there to accept the award at 7:00 in the morning and had to walk several miles to get there in a dress, in high heels, and in the early morning cold.  Yes I was tired.

We are in one of the skywalks that Minneapolis is famous for.  We took the picture ourself.  Can you tell?

We had to stop at Mall of America before heading home.
We had lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.  That was fun.

This is for the boys in the family.  Lego Land was not as fun without the kids.

This is for the girls in my family.  They are fixing the American Girl doll hair.
Downtown Minneapolis.  A week after we got home Bob left for Washington D.C. to participate in a Department of Education conference to redesign alot of the schools on military bases around the country. He was picked to be on the panel and he said it was a trip of a lifetime.  More on that later.
